A pair of binoculars will help you see if your singles are missing granules or are cracked. Keep in mind that just because you don’t see damage, doesn’t mean damage isn’t there. Signs That You Need Roof Repairs

There are very obvious things to look for that will tell you if you need to get professional roof repairs or replacement.  Things like

• water in your attic after rain
• ice build up in the winter
• decaying or damaged shingles
• mold or mildew growth
• stains on walls or ceilings

If you are merely missing some shingles after a wind event, you may be able to get away with just replacing the missing ones. However if your shingles are aged and cracking, that is a pretty clear sign that your roof has reached the end of it’s useful life.
